Howard Carter was the archaeologist who discovered the tomb of King Tutankhamen in the valley of the Kings. His tomb was discovered when they were looking for other tombs. His was the richest tomb to be discovered. The wealth in the tomb led archaeologists to believe that this was one tomb that tomb raiders did not loot.
